The Subaru Ascent keeps it simple under the hood by making just one engine available across its full trim lineup. Mount Airy, NC drivers can enjoy a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that manages 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque that works with symmetrical all-wheel drive and pairs with a continuously variable transmission. Like most Subaru vehicles, symmetrical all-wheel drive comes standard with the Ascent, ensuring versatile capability regardless of your driving needs. The Ascent base trim can two up to 2,000 pounds while the all trims Premium and higher manages up to 5,000 pounds.
Technology
The 2022 Ascent covers the tech essentials by including a variety of tech offerings. The Ascent comes standard with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB ports. Stepping to the Premium trim level ensures a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. You'll have to opt for the top-level Touring trim if you're after increased tech. The Touring trim level comes equipped with a 120-volt power outlet, a 14-speaker audio system, a 180-degree camera system, and a navigation system.
Interior Features
The Subaru Ascent makes a long list of comfort and convenience features available, with the base trim coming standard with tri-zone climate control, seating for eight, and cloth-trimmed seats. The Base trim also includes a roomy rear cargo storage area. The Premium trim adds in a few creature comforts for King, NC drivers to enjoy. The Premium trim gains heated front seats, a power adjustable driver's seat, upgraded interior materials, and an optional seven-passenger seating configuration. The Onyx Edition is a seven-seater version of the Ascent that adds simulated leather upholstery while the Limited trim goes far beyond to include a long list of features. The Limited trim level comes standard with a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, perforated leather upholstery, a driver's seat with memory settings, and a power adjustable passenger seat (front). The Touring trim includes all the same features as the Limited while also including ambient interior lighting and ventilated front seats.

Elkin, NC drivers can look forward to a wide variety of safety offerings with the new Subaru Ascent. Even the Base trim comes standard with a whole bundle of driver assistance features to help drivers stay confident while taking on busy King, NC streets. The Base trim includes EyeSight, which adds adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist (with lane centering), automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, and steering-responsive headlights.
